“Reflections”

Black and White Photography and ink on board.

A series of fleeting intimate images of a solitary female form.  The privacy and sanctuary of the bathroom with the door closed.  Wrapped in the transparent layers of a shower curtain,  the image becomes timeless.  The unselfconsciousness of the figure lost for one fleeting moment when her eyes meet ours.  I have purposely scratched and scoured surface of the overprinted and solarised photographs so they communicate the inner struggle to conquer imperfection and perfect our own image as women.
